OUR ETHOS
CARING
As a group of Christian people we show an interest and concern for each other's wellbeing and also an interest in the welfare of the groups of people within the community around us (youth, children, families, local housing estates, local businesses) Hebrews 10:24
FAITHFUL
As a group of Christian people we are steady, tenacious and firm in our belief in Jesus Christ first but also in recognising that through Him, we can be effective change agents in our community. The impact we make to others is rooted in prayer. 1 Samuel 2:35
LOVING
As a group of Christian people we hold great affection, desire, appreciation and fondness for Jesus Christ for what He has done for us through His death and resurrection. We are loved so well by God and this pure love has also transformed us into people who pour love into others. His love in us, compels us to love.
Matthew 5: 43 - 44
OUR MISSION
The love of Jesus is POWERFUL. It changes people from the inside out. His love gives hope, purpose and direction. Our mission is to ensure that we are a people that are always open to the renewing Love of Jesus. As a result, we become free to openly express our love for Him through our worship, prayer time, meditation and reflection.
Love must look like something. God's love for us looked like sacrifice. Our mission as His people is to mirror this Love, loving others well. We must be known by our love, care and kindness. But how we treat, help and support others must always point back to Jesus.
How will we achieve our Mission?
We will achieve this through networking with those within our surrounding community, to create links where we can explore working together in order to help and support those in most need. Our love for God grows as we understand His Word better so being theological sound is essential especially when sharing the Gospel and nurturing those who are new to their Christian journey.
Our love for others focuses on our immediate communities. That includes love for each other and also for those outside the church in the surrounding areas.
As we learn of God's love and further demonstrate His love to others, we become health and strong, a church growing through our engagement with Jesus first and then with people we do life and community with.
John 13: 34 - 35
